The Airone Country House is the latest restoration of a Marches-region farm-house which dates back centuries.

Besides our own home, it consists of 3 rooms each with bathroom, a small indipendent apartment with bathroom and kitchen area suitable also for the disabled, a fully-equipped restaurant and kitchen and outdoor spaces with a swimming pool, grill, lawns and play area.

The house has been refurbished in an eco-friendly way as follows:

- room layout, entrances, doors and windows according to the theories of Feng Shui, an ancient Chinese philosopher who tried to create harmony between man and his surroundings;

- interior and exterior walls built of thermal brick blocks with wood micropores, issued with a quality mark of approval by three different Institutes of Bioecological Architecture: ANAB (Italy), IBO (Austria) and IBN (Germany);

- exterior walls insulated using mineralized wood fibre panels which are also used in some of the interior walls as soundproofing;

- the roof, supported by wooden beams, has a ventilation system, thermal insulation and tile covering;

- the walls, both interior and exterior, are whitewashed with natural hydraulic lime and sand;

- the absolutely natural matt paint used on both the interior and exterior walls is made from egg whites, milk, calcium carbonates and powdered vegetable dyes;

- wooden door and window fixtures guaranteed air-permeable, water-resistant, wind-proof, heat-transmitting and to a large extent sound-proof;

- electrical, heating and plumbing installations with radiating system from floor and walls supplied by photovoltaic and solar panels, geothermal system and wood-burning stove, all designed to produce hot water, electricity and heating/cooling of the rooms and render the building self-sufficient in energy with a great reduction in energy consumption and heat loss.

Moreover,thanks to the latest technology, the house has been further improved by several innovations, including a centralized aspirator system, solar lighting, a radio-controlled alarm, complete recycling of rainwater, and purification and recycling of discharge water.

Outdoors there are wide porticos, a barbecue area, a 60 square metre swimming pool, a small orchard and a garden to produce organic crops, as well as broad shady lawns and a play area for children.
